The federal Student Right-to-Know Act requires Indiana University to publish graduation rates2, disaggregated by ethnicity and gender, for all full-time beginner1 students and full-time beginner student athletes who receive athletic gift aid in their first year. See the first two pages below.
The Student Right-to-Know Act also requires IU to report enrolled undergraduate headcounts, as well as counts of undergraduate athletes with athletic gift aid, for students enrolled in the previous year, disaggregated by ethnicity and gender. See page two below.

Note: N/A used in a row denotes that no students were in this category.
Note for Annual Enrolled Student Headcounts: An asterisk (*) in a cell denotes that the cell contains fewer than 11 students.
1 In this report, the full-time beginner cohort refers to first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates enrolled full-time at fall 2017 census, and who entered IU in the fall 2017 semester or the preceding summer term. First-time undergraduates include students who began their coursework in high school and enrolled for the first time as traditional college students in fall 2017.
2 Graduation rates reflect the percentage of the full-time beginner cohort who completed a degree at IU. Degree completion for graduation rates is measured by the accepted federal guideline of 150 percent of program length (1.5 years for certificates, three years for associates, and six years for baccalaureates). Graduation rates in this report are for the fall 2017 beginner cohort, with the exception of the first five-year span chart above. Also, graduation rates rates by gender reflect students' self-reported sex at birth in their first semester at IU.
3 Annual enrollment is based on guidelines for the federal Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) 12-month enrollment survey. This includes students who were enrolled at fall, spring, or summer census, or who were enrolled for fall, spring, or summer as of the end of the year. IPEDS 12-month annual enrollment includes both full-time and part-time, as well as degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students.
4 All athlete graduation rates and enrolled headcounts are limited to students who received athletically related gift aid (scholarships, fee remissions) where IU selected the recipient. Athletically related student aid means any scholarship, grant, or other form of financial assistance, offered by an institution, the terms of which require the recipient to participate in a program of intercollegiate athletics at the institution.
5 Annual Enrolled Student Headcounts by gender are based on guidelines for the federal Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) 12-month enrollment survey. In those guidelines, all students are reported as either female or male based first on any self-reported gender that aligns with "female" or "male," and for this, IU uses students' self-reported gender identity. Otherwise, the student's self-reported sex at birth is used. For the small percentage of students whose IPEDS binary gender cannot be determined, they are being reported as female to match the majority of the IU student population.
